In the lower part of the rectangle is a dark band on which the word "CANARIAS" appears in large letters. The circular band is dark green with a white outline both inside and outside the circle. The stars in the circular band are yellow. The shield is dark green, with a red outline, and a dark green curl extending up from each of the top right and left corners. The shield is decorated with seven semicircular ornaments that are yellow on the left and red on the right. The crown above the shield is composed of a series of wavy dark green horizontal lines and a horizontal line of beading on a yellow ground. The top of the crown consists of five crenelated towers that are outlined in red on a yellow ground, and with a thick red band at the center of each tower. At the bottom center of the crown is a red circular ornament. Two curling red flourishes extend from the bottom of the shield, and two dark green curling flourishes flank the shield to right and left.
